Amanda Chizuk began dancing at age 3 at Angie Hahn’s Academy of Dance (formerly known as Bunny Stanford’s School of Dance). Throughout her 12 years of dancing, she has trained in many styles including ballet, pointe, hip hop, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, and contemporary. She was Clara in her studio’s annual “Nutcracker” performance in 2018. Amanda has been competing with her studio the past 4 years in the styles of contemporary and jazz. She has competed at several competitions and conventions including Tremaine Dance Competition and Convention, LA Dance Magic, KAR Dance, Starquest, VIP Dance Competition, and JUMP Dance Convention. Amanda has also trained throughout the summer at numerous intensives including Complexions DSI and Cecchetti Council of America. She has worked with numerous artists including Christa Smutek, Robert Schultz, Jodie Randolph, and is currently training with many teachers including Angie Hahn, Devon Campbell (also known as Uri Mercury), Marie Rabey, Christa Smutek, and Katina Nigro. This is her second year at Young Dancers Initiative and is excited for the new season.
