Home studio: Excel Dance Centre

Holly joined Young Dancers Initiative in 2022 at the start of Season 10. She has been dancing since the age of 4 at Excel Dance Centre in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Holly trains in all the styles Excel offers but has found herself to be most passionate about modern, jazz, and ballet. At Excel, she is a member of both pre-professional companies offering, XLR8 and Xpressions. These programs have given her opportunities to work with many guest choreographers for different pieces. She is also on the Performance Company which has allowed her to perform at Disney World, Universal Studios, Carnival Cruise, Grand Ole Opry, and more. Holly has played many roles in The Nutcracker, most recently playing Clara this past year. Holly has trained at several places throughout her summers. This summer she attended the University of Michigan's MPulse Summer Intensive, working with faculty including Robin Wilson, Amy Chavasse, Krisilyn "Tony" Frazier, and more. She has also attended Brighton Dance Festival where performed a piece by Kylie Vinitski alongside professionals. She is so excited to be a part of Young Dancers Initiative for her second season!
