Home studio:  Excel Dance Centre

Elliott Smucker began dancing at the age of 5 at Excel Dance Center. She has been a part of Excel’s Performing Company and their Xpression Pre-Professional Team.  Elliott is currently a part of Excel’s youth teaching assistant program(YTAP), in which she assists younger dancers in their training. She is also a member of the National Honors Society of Dance Arts (NSHDA). She has trained in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Hip hop, Contemporary, Modern, Tap, and lyrical in her past 8 years of dance. She was little Clara in her studio’s “Nutcracker” performance in 2022 along with other small parts. She has trained at many summer intensives throughout the past years including Interlochen Arts camp, in their 3-week Classical Ballet Program & Grand Rapids Ballet in their 1-week intensive. While at Interlochen she performed in their annual “Les Préludes” piece and a ballet repertoire piece. She has trained with many amazing artists including Joseph Morrissey, Rachel James, Leslie Williams, Kaitlyn Pollock, Kelsey Paschich, Noah Klarck, Isaac Jones, Jesse Hoisington, Shelby Bensinger, and more. Elliott is very excited to start her first year with Young Dancers Initiative.
